Organization
Progress Report
Quickly find my classroom supplies when needed and keep a tidy, organized desk, book box and work space.
Term 1
Maintain neat and organized learning notebooks in all subject areas.
Term 2
Set and communicate task priorities (most to least important) and complete these tasks based upon learning goals and success criteria. 


Self-Regulation
Progress Report
Listen when others are speaking and contribute appropriate questions and/or responses.
Term 1
Accept and use peer and teacher feedback to improve achievements both academically and socially.
Term 2
Use a variety of strategies for learning when I am challenged, including re-reading, thinking aloud, checking notes, using classroom resources and/or asking peers or teachers for help.


Initiative
Progress Report
Try tasks on own before asking for help, such as re-reading instructions and success criteria and taking “think time”.
Term 1
Approach learning with a positive attitude and confidence. Use classroom resources to improve achievement in academic and learning skills areas regularly and independently.
Term 2
Demonstrate a curiosity and interest in learning throughout all subject areas, preferred and non-preferred.


Independent Work
Progress Report
Focus on tasks and complete assignments without reminders.
Term 1
Complete tasks and assignments on time and with care, having read instructions carefully and compare work to the task’s success criteria.
Term 2
Think about my strengths and needs when setting and working towards achieving realistic goals based on self-reflections and peer and teacher feedback.


Responsibility
Progress Report
Follow classroom guidelines and routines without reminders and use my agenda every day.
Term 1
Demonstrate responsibility within both the classroom and school by taking leadership roles, tidying workspaces, and helping others. Print neatly, including all information, and a detailed “Friday Letter” in agenda.
Term 2
Show responsibility for learning by reviewing notes, asking questions, and preparing for projects and tasks.


Collaboration
Progress Report
Work cooperatively with others by listening respectfully and taking responsibility for completing my share of work.
Term 1
Remain focused on tasks when working with partners or in small groups.
Term 2
Build healthy relationships in person and electronically, and work with others to resolve conflict. Contribute to learning through discussions in class, online and during peer conferencing and shared problem-solving.
